Ph.D. Candidates Defending their Dissertations

Two of our Ph.D. Candidates, Michal Šoltés and William Appleman, will finish their studies at CERGE-EI in December. We wish them all the best with their defenses!

Michal Šoltés will defend his dissertation, "Essays in Applied Economics."

Filip Matějka (CERGE-EI) is the Chair of the Dissertation Committee, which includes Michal Bauer (CERGE-EI), Fabio Michelucci (Università Ca' Foscari, CERGE-EI) and Nikolas Mittag (CERGE-EI). The Defense Committee will include Vasily Korovkin (CERGE-EI), Paola Bertoli (KEKE NF VŠE, IES FSV UK), and Andreas Menzel (CERGE-EI) as Chair. The defense will take place at CERGE-EI, at 5 p.m., in room #6 and online (passcode: 433561).

William Appleman will defend his dissertation, "Explorations into Behavioral Phenomena."

Fabio Micheluccci (Università Ca' Foscari, CERGE-EI) is Chair of the Dissertation Committee, which includes Nikolas Mittag (CERGE-EI), Daniel Münich (CERGE-EI), and Patrick Gaule (University of Bristol). The Defense Committee will include Julie Chytilová (CERGE-EI), Libor Dušek (Charles University, Faculty of Law), and Vasily Korovkin (CERGE-EI) as Chair. The defense will take place at CERGE-EI, at noon, in room #402 and online (passcode: 5348).
