Step Into a CERGE-EI Classroom: Week of Open Classes

CERGE-EI will hold a Week of Open Classes from February 23 to 27, 2026.

Prospective applicants can attend regular classes during the week and see how courses are taught and structured, they can talk to current students and faculty members and take the opportunity to experience what it feels like to study modern economics.

Attendees may join any class as listed on the published schedule. 

Classes cover a wide range of fields and levels (including Master’s and PhD courses), offering visitors a glimpse into Development Economics, Econometrics, Labor Economics, Applied Microeconomics, and Computational Economics, as well as skills-focused courses such as Academic Writing and Research Writing. This wide range of courses allows visitors to choose sessions that match their interests.

The open classes take place at CERGE-EI, Politických vězňů 7, Prague 1. Selected classes are also available online, which is useful for applicants who cannot attend in person.

To ensure courses run smoothly, CERGE-EI asks all participants—whether attending in person or online—to complete a brief registration form.
