CERGE-EI Researcher Cagin Keskin Wins AMES–CSW Best Paper Award 2026

28 January, 2026

CERGE-EI is proud to announce that Cagin Keskin has received the AMES–CSW Best Paper Award 2026, presented at the Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society.

The award recognizes outstanding research contributions in economics and highlights the quality and impact of Keskin’s work.

Keskin’s award-winning paper examines how firms’ diversification strategies and their investments in different types of intangible assets shape innovation, competition, and long-run economic growth. By combining new empirical evidence with a micro-founded growth model, the study provides deeper insight into how modern economies evolve—and which policies are most effective in supporting productivity and welfare.

Reflecting on the recognition, Keskin said:
“I am honored to receive the Econometric Society Best Paper Award at the 2026 Asia-CSW Meeting. I would like to thank my advisors for their guidance and support, and the Econometric Society for this recognition.”

He emphasized the long-term commitment behind the project:
“This award recognizes years of work—and it reinforces my commitment to studying how firm decisions shape innovation, competition, and long-run growth.”

Keskin added that the prize also serves as motivation for future research:
“I’m deeply grateful for this recognition. It encourages me to push further in understanding the forces that drive productivity and welfare in modern economies.”

CERGE-EI extends its warmest congratulations to Cagin Keskin on this achievement and looks forward to the next steps in his promising research agenda.
