• General overview of the functioning of the EU institutions
• Introduction of the Publication Office of the EU (OP), its role and mandate
• Personal work experience including Eurostat and OP
• Concrete projects of interest – access to data and publications, interesting projects which could be relevant to researchers
• The EU opportunities for young people as well as careers in the EU institutions

Eva Hromádková, CERGE-EI PhD in Economics alumna, an analyst at the Czech National Bank

Jan Plánovský is a CERGE-EI PhD in Economics graduate from 2001 with more than 15 years of work experience for the European Commission. He has worked as a Head of Unit at Eurostat, and was in charge of International Trade Statistics – Production, IT Infrastructure, and Central Data and Metadata Services. Since 2017 he works as a Head of Unit at the Publications Office of the EU, European Commission, Luxembourg.
