Career Integration Fellows Training Starts

CERGE-EI Career Integration Fellows

Teaching Principles and Practices for Economics Course

August 11-15, 2014 at CERGE-EI

This year’s newly expanded cohort of Career Integration Fellows will attend our first annual course for recent PhDs with degrees from Western universities. These Fellows are heading to the CEE region to contribute their cutting-edge knowledge of Economics and fresh, effective teaching techniques to Economics education. Their modern approach and knowledge is needed and appreciated!

The course offers Fellows opportunities to learn more about the program and the resources CERGE-EI offers them. Fellows will also contribute to discussions on a range of vital topics, including comparisons of teaching in the west and east, and teaching in an internet world. There will also be a focus on building and maintaining connections between Fellows, CERGE-EI, and the Teaching Fellows community.

The program’s funding has been substantially expanded starting this year in response to the outstanding reviews it has received from institutions and students in past years. Each Fellow is truly important in Economics education, and will leave positive footprints that will influence the region for years to come!
