An extraordinarily tragic flood occurred in the Vere River valley in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on the night of 13-14 June, 2015. It resulted in at least 19 people losing their lives and severely damaged the Tbilisi Zoo, leaving half of its animal population either dead or on the loose.
We want to help the people who have suffered through this ordeal by helping to fund the establishment of small camps of inflatable tents, where volunteers will be based in order to help those in need.
