Štěpán Jurajda Appointed Professor by Charles University

We are pleased to announce that Štěpán Jurajda has been appointed Professor by Charles University. The ceremony of appointing new professors will be held on December 18, 2014 in the historic Great Assembly Hall of the Karolinum, Ovocný trh 3-5, Prague 1.

Prof. Jurajda has been the Mellon Endowment Professor with tenure at CERGE-EI since 2014 (previously the Mellon Endowment Associate Professor with tenure since 2004). He has been a member of the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI since 2004. From 2009 to 2013 he served as Director of CERGE-EI.

In 2014, Prof. Jurajda defended his professorship at Charles University, where he also received a Commemorative medal, and was granted a Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship at the European University Institute. In September he was appointed to the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the government of the Czech Republic.
