Practical Workshop: IFRS 9 - How Regulation Can Drive Quantitative Model Testing

Wednesday, 28 March, 2018
Time: 17:00 - 19:00
Course instructors: Radek Laštovička (Senior Manager, EY), Tao Zhu (Consultant, Credit Risk Management, Financial Services Advisory, EY)
Location: EY's premises (Na Florenci 2116/15, Prague 1)

Come to EY’s premises to find out what IFRS 9 regulation is, explore case studies showing how EY helped their clients to prepare for it, and see what quant tests EY recommends for IFRS 9-related models, including what IT tools they developed to be used for these tests.

What IFRS 9 is:

  • An International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) promulgated by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
  • It specifies how an entity should classify and measure financial assets, financial liabilities, and some contracts to buy or sell non-financial items.
  • As of 1 January, 2018 it is mandatory for companies.

This workshop will be followed by an informal get-together with the EY team, where you can find out more about a career at EY.

Students who attend the workshop will also get online access to try an Online Practice Test for EY Placement. It’s a great opportunity to see if consulting is a good fit for you!
