CEFTA and Economic Co-operation of CEE Countries

One of the preconditions of integration into the EU is regional co-operation. This as a political argument (merged with clear economic needs) led to the formation of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA). The CEFTA agreement was signed in December 1992 by the governments of Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland. This course will examine the role of regional co-operation with respect to ongoing expansion of the EU.
